Is it safe to let a cleaner touch my PC?

That is the whole design. Scans only read. Nothing changes until you confirm. Every file is checked again right before it is cleaned, caches of running apps are skipped, and settings changes save the original so History can undo them.

Do I need an account?

No. Cleaning, Optimize, Security, storage analysis and undo are free and work without signing in. An account is only for Pro.

Is CleanUp an antivirus?

No, and that is deliberate. Real-time protection needs a kernel driver and constant threat research. CleanUp works with Microsoft Defender: it shows your protection status, runs scans and lists detections. If you use another antivirus, CleanUp tells you instead of getting in its way.

What does Pro add?

Automatic scheduled maintenance, installing software and driver updates, and cleaning cloud storage, on up to 3 PCs. Recovery, undo and security are never behind a paywall.

What do you collect?

Nothing about your files or apps leaves your PC. The app shares anonymous usage counts, like scans run and space freed, with no names, paths or IDs, and you can switch that off in Settings. If you sign in, we store your email and the name of each PC you connect. Payments are handled by Stripe.
